Flower Basket Care and Fertilizing
The Wave was hybridized to be used as ground cover. It's natural spreading growth pattern makes it a perfect plant for hanging baskets. The Wave will grow up to one inch or more per day on hot sunny days.

Because of its fast growth rate you must feed and water it heavily. We recommend fertilizing every time you water the basket. A good balanced fertilizer, like Miracle Grow or Peters, will do just fine. We recommend 15-30-15 or 20-10-20. Just follow the recommendations on the package for fertilizing every time you water.

To get the most from your basket we also recommend "Dead Heading", or picking, the dead flowers from the plant. This prolong the flowering time for the basket and will help keep the plant full looking. Pick the expired flower along with the short stem it is mounted on. Mounting the baskets on swivels will make "Dead Heading" easier and keep all 4 sides in the sun helping it grow fuller

One more suggestion that is not necessary, but will produce great results, is to use a Bloom Formula Fertilizer once a week. This will make the flowers stay longer and brighter. A typical Bloom Fertilizer has a high middle number of the formula (phosphorous) such as , 10-52-10 or 10-60-10. These can be found in Miracle Grow and Peters brands of fertilizers.
